Dentist recommendation:
 

• Start by breaking off about 30cm-45cm of floss and wind most of it around one of your fingers.
• Wind the remaining floss around the same finger of the opposite hand. Hold the floss tightly between your forefinger and/or thumb, and gently insert it between your teeth using a back-and-forth motion.
• Be careful - not to snap the floss into your gums and cause injury. Curve the floss around the base of each tooth. Make sure to go beneath the gum line.
• Use a clean section of floss for each tooth to avoid transferring bacteria from one tooth to another.
• Use a gentle up-and-down motion to remove plaque and food particles between the teeth.
